Position Summary

Join a global leader in Electronics Manufacturing - ODM/Original Design Manufacturing as the MRO Supervisor. This role is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing all activities related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO). This includes procurement, inventory management, and ensuring the availability of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials required to support efficient operations. The Supervisor ensures critical equipment and resources are available to minimize downtime while adhering to budget targets, safety standards, and organizational objectives.

This role plays a key part in supporting maintenance and operations teams and establishing best-in-class MRO practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, train, and develop the MRO procurement team, including setting and monitoring KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, troubleshooting urgent issues such as stock-outs, delivery delays, or quality discrepancies.

Inventory Management

  • Manage and maintain MRO inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and uninterrupted operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management practices to reduce waste and improve turnover.
  • Track stock levels, lead times, and reorder points for spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Coordinate sourcing, procurement, and delivery of MRO materials to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Manage overseas supplier relationships and understand global logistics and customs processes.

Maintenance & Operations Support

  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to plan and prioritize resources for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure availability of parts, tools, and consumables required for repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Partner with maintenance teams to anticipate future needs and address recurring availability issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing MRO supplies within a maquiladora or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Strong experience managing international suppliers and global logistics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially:
    • Excel: formulas, pivot tables, data analysis
    • PowerPoint: presentations
    • Outlook: communication & scheduling
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Planner).
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
